Wedding Bliss

Last weekend my cousin got married and she looked absolutely beautiful! Her dress was a tulle dream. My family has been talking about this wedding ever since she got engaged and when the day was finally here it went by so fast. We all had so much fun and everything came together so beautifully. My family is pretty old school and marriage is something that is important to them and they want to see my sisters, cousins, and I to go down that path. We all knew that our aunts and other relatives would start telling us that one of us needs to be next, we need to find a significant other, blah blah blah. So, when it came time for the bouquet toss my older sister actually caught it which made my family pretty happy. So now this should keep them quite for a little while.

Now let’s discuss fashion!

For the ceremony I chose to go with monochromatic neutral outfit and for the reception I went for something a little more dramatic. I always have these visions of what I want to look like for special occasions and most of the times my visions don’t really come to life. When I go shopping and have something very specific in mind 8 times out of 10 I don’t find what I want. My inspiration was what Sarah Hyland wore to the 2014 Emmy Awards see photo HERE. She wore a two piece Christian Siriano and when I first saw it I was wowed. I love the look of a two piece outfit – crop top with a voluminous skirt, and a pop of colour! So, of course after intense searching I didn’t find anything similar and the solution was to get it custom made. Luckily one of co-workers happens to be a fashion designer. I wanted that pop of colour that would be perfect for summer so I went with a fuchsia. It came out so amazing and beautiful and exactly what I wanted…I am in love.
